Aiken, SC—A graveside service for Mrs. Cathy Swancey Taylor, age 76, will be held 1:00 PM Thursday September 30, 2021 at Aiken Memorial Gardens with Rev. Brancie Stephens officiating. Mrs. Taylor entered into rest Sunday September 26, 2021 at her residence. She was the beloved wife of Mr. Lester Ray Taylor and the daughter of the late Mr. William Swancey and the late Mrs. Evelyn Redd Swancey. Mrs. Taylor was a native and lifelong resident of Aiken. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Her hobbies included gardening, flowers, and spending time with her grandchildren. Additional survivors include: two sons Michael Ray Taylor, Aiken, and Charles (April) Patrick Taylor, Aiken; four brothers Bobby Swancey, Aiken, Billy Swancey, Aiken, Danny Swancey, Aiken, and David Swancey, Aiken; two sisters Lynn Bledsoe, Aiken, and Dianne Brown, North Augusta; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by: one daughter Kay Karon Taylor; and one sister Jean Malcolm. The service will be live streamed on the Cole Funeral Home Facebook page.
