Carrie Louise Hunt

New Ellenton SC--A celebration of life service for Mrs. Carrie Louise Hunt, age 83 will be held 11:00 am Friday September 16, 2016 at Grace Covenant Church of God with Rev. Edgar N. Foster, Sr. and Rev. Darrell Thompson officiating.  Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Hunt entered into rest peacefully Monday September 12, 2016 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. She was the wife of the late Mr. Grady Eugene Lee and Cleo Kendrick and the daughter of the late Mr. William J. Hunt and the late Mrs. Bessie Barton Hunt. Mrs. Hunt was a native of Walhalla, SC and had made Aiken County her home for the past 51 years.  She retired in 1975 as an assembly line employee at Skinner's Button Plant and New Ellenton Geriatric Nursing Home as a nursing assistant. Mrs. Hunt was an active member of Grace Covenant Church of God, New Ellenton. Survivors include one son, Donald Lee, Westminster; two daughters, Linda (Cecil) Swafford, Westminster, Louise (Ronald C.) Thomas, North Augusta; two brothers, Robert Hunt, Walhalla, SC, James Alton Hunt, Walhalla; one sister, Margaret Daniels, Columbia; eleven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren.  Mrs. Hunt was also predeceased by one son, Ronald Lee, one daughter, Verlena Picklesimer, one brother, Bill Hunt, and two great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Gentiva Home Health 80 Physicians Drive, Aiken, SC, 29801. Pallbearers will be Colby Dorn, Cecil R. Webb, Patrick Bone, Steven Derochie, Josh Swafford, David Hunt, Steve Hunt,  David Richard Webb, and Oliver J. Williamson. We request that flowers be delivered to the church by 4:00 pm. A visitation with the family will take place 6-8 pm Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Grace Covenant Church of God, New Ellenton.
