Aiken, SC--A celebration of life service will be held 4:00 pm Tuesday June 19, 2018 at River of Life Church, Aiken with Rev. Larry Dewolfee and Rev. Keith Solomon officiating.  Interment will be held privately.  Mrs. Whitsett entered into rest peacefully Saturday June 16, 2018 at her residence.  She was a native of Annapolis, Maryland and was the wife of the late Mr. John B. Whitsett and a daughter of the late Mr. Lee Ellis and the late Mrs. Gisela Hoffmann Ellis.  Mrs. Whitsett came to Aiken in 1989.  She was a 1958 graduate of Duke University with a Bachelor of  Arts degree in Language and was a certified Paralegal in Augusta, GA.  Mrs. Whitsett was a member of Glory City Aiken Church. Survivors include one son Peter Whitsett, AZ; two daughters, Ann Halstead, Aiken and CarolAnn Wright, Aiken; one sister, Martha Brooks, Windsor, NJ; four grandchildren, Brendon Halstead, Jaron Halstead, Teagan Wright, and Sara Wright. Mrs. Whitsett was predeceased by one son, Timothy Whitsett. In Lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorials be made to the Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL), www.lls.org.   A visitation with the family will take following the service at River of Life Church.
