Mr. Billy Bert Jones
Graniteville, SC—A celebration of life service for Mr. Billy Bert Jones age 86 will be held 11:00 am Monday February 20, 2023 at Breezy Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Donald Prosser officiating. A private Burial was held in Graniteville Cemetery. Mr. Jones entered into rest Tuesday February 14, 2023 at his home surrounded by his wife and family. He was the beloved husband of 65 years of Mrs. Vera Knight Jones and a son of the late Mr. F. Max Jones and the late Mrs. Helen Beaver Jones. Mr. Jones was born in Fortville, Indiana and had made Aiken County his home for the past 50 years. He served as a state trooper for the Indiana State police for 11 years, and when he and his wife Vera moved to Aiken County he was with State Farm Insurance in Augusta, GA as an Adjustor with 10 years of service. Mr. Jones then went on to be self employed as a real estate investor and owner of Magnum Products in Graniteville, SC until his death. Mr. Jones was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Additional survivors include two sons, Mark (Chong) Jones, Graniteville, Todd (Anita) Jones, Graniteville; two daughters, Becky (James) Wilder, Graniteville, Lorry (Mark) Sightler, Graniteville; three brothers, Ronald Jones, Gettsyburg, PA, Kenneth Jones, Lakeland, FL, Richard Jones, Fortville, IN; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested that donations be made to Providence Baptist Bible Assembly Ministry 3850 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, GA 30909.
