Aiken—A celebration of life service for Mr. Benson Andrew Weeks, age 61, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday January 24, 2016, at Clearwater Branch Baptist Church with Rev. David Young officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Weeks entered into rest Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Aiken County. Mr. Weeks was the son of the late Mr. James Weeks and the late Mrs. Harriette Kilgore Weeks. Mr. Weeks was employed by the University of South Carolina Aiken for close to 15 years and was an associate with Wal-Mart on Whiskey Road for the past 10.5 years. He was a 1974 graduate of Aiken High School and was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America troupe #146 where he earned the rank of Eagle, the God and Country Medal, and was a volunteer scout leader as a young adult. Mr. Weeks was a lifelong member of the Clearwater Branch Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Crystal Turner, Aiken, Shannon Weeks, Aiken; two brothers, James Randy Weeks, Aiken, David Weeks, Summerville; one sister, Sylvia Studley,  Perry, Georgia; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Sam Smith, Danny Rutland, Clyde Ergle, II,  Justin Rutland, Mark Bryant, James Davidson.
