Barbara Young Robinson

A celebration of life service for Mrs. Barbara Young Robinson, age 83 will be held 2:30 pm Saturday March 10th, 2018 at Levels Baptist Church with Rev. Marion Britton officiating. Mrs. Robinson entered into rest Monday February 26, 2018 at Pepper Hill Nursing Home.  She was a native and a life long resident of Aiken County, and was the beloved wife of the late Mr. Richard Robinson and a daughter of the late William and Cora Young.  Mrs. Robinson was a former secretary for the late Senator Strom Thurmond and retired in 1996 as a secretary for Bechtal Construction at the Savannah River Site with 15 years of service.  Mrs. Robinson was a member of Levels Baptist Church.   Survivors include one son, Richard Lee (Janet) Robinson, North Augusta; two daughters, Lynn Taylor, Aiken, Debbie (John) Riffe, Hanover, West Virginia; one sister, Jeanette Herron, Aiken; six grandchildren, Angie(K.C.) Price, Nikki (Mike) Monroe, Amy Fox (Pam) Burk, Jake Robinson, Dennis (Ashley) Jones, William Robinson, Jessica Riffe, and Sarah Riffe;   Twelve great grandchildren.  Mrs. Robinson was predeceased by one brother, Carl Young, and her son-in-law, Johnny Taylor.  COLE FUNERAL HOME 1544 UNIVERSITY PARKWAY (118 BY PASS) AIKEN, SC, 29801. 803-648-7175.
