Mrs. Anne Ferrell Akers
Aiken-Entered into rest Monday, December 9, 2013 at Pepper Hill Nursing Home, Mrs. Anne Ferrell Akers age 72, beloved husband of 54 Years to Mr. Jack Akers and daughter of the late Mr. William T. Ferrell and Mrs. Frances Lambert Ferrell.
A celebration of life service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Bellevue Memorial Gardens Chapel, Grovetown, GA with Rev. Roger Carr officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Akers was a native of Bluefield WV and had made Aiken her home for the past 21 years. She retired in 2004 from the Aiken County School District at Aiken High School. Mrs. Akers was a member of College Ave. Baptist Church in Bluefield, West Virginia. Mr. and Mrs. Akers were married September 26, 1959 at Lowery Air Force Base, Denver, CO.
Additional survivors include two daughters- Virginia Lawlis, Thomson, GA, Jacqueline E. (Fiancé Wayne Howdyshell) Akers, Aiken; two grandchildren, Amber and Michael Lawlis. Mrs. Akers was predeceased by one brother, William Taylor Ferrell, Jr.
The family would like to thank the Staff at Pepper Hill Nursing Home for the care and support they gave Mrs. Akers and the family.
