Dr. Gary Lewis, General Overseer of the Church of God, Rev. Bobby Johnson, Rev. Ronnie Grant, Pastor Nelson Foster, and Pastor Edgar Foster officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the Grace Covenant Church of God Women’s Bible Study. Mrs. Foster entered into rest on Friday May 22, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of many years to Pastor Edgar Foster and a daughter to the late Rev. John Ramsey Hardin and the late Savannah Winkler Hardin. Mrs. Foster was born in Cowpens, SC, but had spent the last seventeen and a half years in New Ellenton, SC. She was a faithful member and pastor’s wife of the Church of God. Mrs. Foster has been a part of many churches, including Rock Valley Road Church of God in Centerville, IA, Evans Street Church of God in Whitmire, SC, and Grace Covenant Church of God in New Ellenton, SC. She was passionately involved in various ministries over the years. She was a women’s ministries director in several different churches, she sang with her family and trios for churches, and was a church pianist at several churches. One of her most well-known ministries was her ventriloquism. She ministered with LEON for nearly 52 years across 25 different states. Mrs. Foster had a passion for teaching the Bible and loved to lead the Women’s Bible Study at Grace Covenant Church of God. She was a faithful minister’s and evangelist’s wife who was willing to go wherever the Lord called her and her husband. In her younger years, Mrs. Foster was a runner and a star athlete in school. She was even approached to train for the Olympics as a hurdler. She enjoyed cooking and watching tv shows like “Bonanza,” “Little House on the Prairie,” and the original “Matlock.” Additionally, Mrs. Foster loved personal Bible study and read through the Bible too many times to count. She loved travelling for ministry alongside her husband. One of her fondest memories was when she was able to visit Israel back in 2009. She was a devoted, loving ministerial wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved spending time with her family every chance she got. She will be deeply missed. Additional survivors include: one son Rev. Nelson (Rachel) Foster, Varnville, SC; two brothers Rev. Clyde (Pat) Hardin, Westminister, SC, and Roger (Barbara) Hardin, Murfreesboro, TN; one sister Jane Hardin, NC; one granddaughter Makenzie (Zack) Butcher, Varnville, SC; and three great grandchildren Christiana, Isaiah, and Alana May. Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by her daughter Andrea Christiana Foster. A visitation with the family will begin at 12:00 pm on Saturday May 30, 2026, at Grace Covenant Church of God.
