Mr. Alexander Kater “Alex” Summers

Beech Island, SC—Entered into rest Tuesday December 4, 2018 at his residence, Mr. Alexander Kater “Alex” Summers, age 73.  Mr. Summers was the beloved husband of Mrs. Catherine Bratcher Summers, Beech Island, SC and a son of the late Mr. Thomas Summers and the late Mrs. Bernice Herron Summers.  He was a native of Baxley, GA and made Aiken County his home for most of his life.  Mr. Summers was a machinist with the Harvey Hubbell Corporation retiring in 1997, and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp.  Additional survivors include two sons, Michael Alexander Summers, Beech Island, SC, Joseph Christopher Summers, Beech Island, SC; three grandchildren and one great grand child.  Mr. Summers was predeceased by two brothers, Ronnie and Gene Summers; three sisters, Brenda Kirkland, Joy Wood, and Helen Summers.
